First, go grab some headphones. The best ones you’ve got. If the best ones you’ve got are these suckers (or something similar), you should really go buy new ones, but use the best you’ve got for right now.

Take a break from whatever you’re doing for 2 minutes and listen, but just listen to the whole thing, even if you have to multi-task.

Headphones on? Ok. Good.

Now, press play.

Post

so.

*deep breath*

Lightning in a Bottle.

wow. just… wow. such a rad experience, plus the music was amazing. the only thing that was difficult was the fact that i’m on crutches and couldn’t walk around very easily. oh yeah sure, there were golf carts and such but they never seemed to be around when i needed them :P basically sat around the main stage (the LIGHTNING stage haha) the whole day (btw this was sunday).

Here are some promotions/suggestions. you like dubstep/electro/jungle/electronica? try Govinda, R/D, Dirtwire, or gruvhaas (not sure if i spelled that right but whatever). also bassnectar but he’s pretty well known. although idk if the others i just put down are well known or not.. i’ve never heard of them before but thats not saying much.

i wanted to see bassnectar so bad but he came on at midnight and went on for 2 hours and my mom (who had to come with because iz a minor) and brother had to get up early so we had to leave at 10. no complaints though cuz the first set of the night (when it was truly night and dark and stuff) was AMAZING!! i’d never been to a live dubstep/electro/fusion show, let alone one at night, and this one just blew me away. firstly cause, uh hello? trippy lights? awesome!! and secondly because it was so cool to see everyone dancing. and like, the same way. at the same time. but different. trippy. and thirdly.. basically this was the first time i’d heard a bass-heavy genre of music with a good sound system. and… wow. i was so tired and sore by the time it got dark and then R/D came on with all the lights and the awesome music and i totally got my second (more like third actually) wind and kinda like, flipped out. well, as much as i could flip out while being stuck on a picnic table because my crutches were like, 10 feet away.

anyway, like I said… rad experience. Everyone should go to something like this sometime in their lives. look it up for next year! Lightning in a Bottle is TOTALLY worth the 100 or 200 bucks. next time i go (which may or may not be next year) i want to get the full weekend pass just because there were some sick sets on friday and saturday (like.. shpongle.. gaudi… GLITCH MOB! grrr wish i could’ve seen them). may not camp there the full weekend (way too much of a sensory overload.. i’d probably start like, crying, or screaming hysterically, by the end of the second day. maybe even the first day)

aaannd… now i can’t walk cause i’m SUPER sore from crutching around all day and my foot hurts really bad. so i’m stuck on the couch watching Sherlock (hey, no complaints here… my parents can’t kick me off the couch because i can’t really do anything else. besides, sherlock is seriously one of the coolest shows i’ve ever seen. unfortunately i only have about 1 1/2 episodes left :( wish there were more)

i have to take the SATs on saturday. worse, i have to CRUTCH AROUND at the SATs. or hop. most likely hop. greaatt.. something to look forward to. ha

Story of a Five Year-Old Avenger, Meeting the Avengers

“Hi, Loki!” my wife said (100% sure she didn’t know Tim Hiddleston’s name). “Can my son get a picture with you?” she asked. “Can I put him on my shoulders?” Loki asks. “Um … okay?” is Jill’s response and hands Tom Hiddleston our son.  He hoists him up on to his shoulders (I should mention that this guy is like 8 feet tall), and my wife takes out her Blackberry, only to find that it’s on its last battery leg. Nonetheless she manages to get a couple of shots.  Hiddleston puts Edison down, shakes his hand and says goodbye…

… Evans crouches down next to Edison, who extends his hand and shakes the hand of The First Avenger. “Can I see your shield?” Evans asks and Edison hands his battered toy shield over. “Wow, you’re getting a lot of use out of this. You fighting a lot of bad guys with this?” he asks.  Chris Evans and Edison proceed to have a conversation about the finer points of shields and fighting the enemy.

aw this is adorable !!
